Radeway Assembly & Care Guide
Step-by-step instructions for setting up and maintaining your Radeway products. Most assemblies take 15–45 minutes with one person.
How to Assemble Radeway Outdoor Furniture
Follow these steps to safely assemble patio sets, lounge chairs, and sectionals from Radeway.
- Unbox and inventory parts. Lay all components on a clean, flat surface. Check each piece against the included parts list. Note: hardware bags are usually taped inside the main box or under the seat cushion.
- Identify all hardware. Sort bolts, nuts, washers, and screws by size. Radeway includes all necessary tools (typically an Allen wrench and/or open-end wrench).
- Assemble the frame. Start with the largest structural pieces — frame legs and side rails first. Finger-tighten all bolts before fully tightening to ensure alignment.
- Attach armrests and backrests. Connect armrests to the seat frame, then attach the backrest. Follow the numbered diagram in your instruction sheet.
- Tighten all hardware. Once all pieces are aligned, use the included wrench to tighten all bolts firmly. Do not over-torque plastic or rattan components.
- Add cushions. Place seat and back cushions. Most Radeway cushions have ties or non-slip backing — secure them to prevent shifting.
- Final inspection. Test the furniture for stability. Gently apply pressure to armrests and backrests. Retighten any loose connections before use.
How to Assemble a Radeway Tool Chest or Storage Cabinet
Tool chests and storage cabinets are partially pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete setup.
- Choose your location first. Place the chest in its final position before loading with tools — a fully loaded chest is very heavy. Ensure the floor is level.
- Unbox and inspect. Remove all packaging. Check that all drawers slide smoothly and the locking bar works freely.
- Attach casters (if included). For rolling cabinets, flip the unit on its side and attach the 4 casters. Lock the two front casters after placement.
- Mount side handles. Attach side handles with the included bolts. Use a screwdriver or the included hex key.
- Test all drawers. Open and close each drawer fully. Adjust ball-bearing slides if any drawer feels uneven — most have a side adjustment screw.
- Load tools evenly. Distribute weight evenly across drawers. Heavier tools go in lower drawers for stability.
- Set the lock. Set your combination or key lock. Store the spare key in a separate location.
How to Care for Radeway Outdoor Furniture
Proper care extends the life of your patio furniture significantly. Here's a simple maintenance routine:
- Weekly wipe-down. Wipe metal frames with a damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and pollen. For rattan frames, use a soft brush to clear debris from weave gaps.
- Monthly cushion care. Remove cushion covers and spot-clean with mild soap and water. For machine-washable covers, use a gentle cycle and air dry completely before replacing.
- Seasonal deep clean. At the start and end of outdoor season, clean all metal surfaces with soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Apply a light coat of car wax to metal frames to protect against moisture.
- Inspect hardware annually. Check all bolts and connections once a year. Re-tighten any loose hardware. Replace any rusted fasteners with stainless steel equivalents.
- Use covers in off-season. If storing outdoors during winter, use a fitted furniture cover to protect against snow, ice, and UV damage. Radeway furniture covers are available separately.
- Store cushions indoors. When not in use for extended periods, bring cushions indoors or store in a weather-resistant storage bag to prevent mold and fading.
